To Water Garden Design Build. We build and maintain small to large fish ponds and water gardens. These can include natural stone waterfalls, stone patios, walks, fire pits, stone bridges, borders, benches and full landscapes. We keep a small company serving Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River County.
My wife of 31 years and I started water gardening about 20 years ago and it wasn’t long before we were building gardens for our friends and neighbors. I was raised on a farm and started in the trades at a young age. I went through the ranks as a carpenter and mason and have been in the trades most of my 54 years. This is what I love to do. I keep one full time man and my hands are on every project.
We propagate our own plants to include in the gardens and have a supply of fully matured plants for sale as well. We keep a state licensed aquatic nursery on our property. It’s nice to have a lily blooming as you show your friends the new pond.
Installations, with rare exception for very large stone or excavation, are done with a wheelbarrow throughout. Rock is wheeled in and spoil dirt that can not be incorporated in the site is hauled to the truck in the same manner. This doesn’t destroy your lawn and create havoc with the neighbors. Although it is messy work we try to keep it to an absolute minimum.
We also finish a job when we start it. Smaller gardens are typically done in about one week. Larger projects that incorporate large stone patios, bridges and full yard landscape recreations take longer of course. Schedule is important to you and us. We start on time and are there every work day until completion. We do not build more than one job at a time.
